About the Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Technical Writer to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for technical and non-technical audiences. You will work closely with software engineers, product managers, system architects, and QA teams to translate complex technical concepts into well-structured documentation that supports users, clients, and internal stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong writing skills with a solid understanding of IT systems, software development, and modern technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including:
Software and system documentation
API documentation
User guides and manuals
Knowledge-base and help-center articles
Release notes and change logs
Work with engineering and product teams to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content for different audiences
Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, structure, and formatting across all documentation
Review and update existing documentation to reflect product updates and system changes
Follow documentation standards, style guides, and version-control processes
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Technical Writer in an IT or software environment
Strong understanding of software development concepts, systems, and workflows
Ability to write clear, structured, and user-focused documentation
Experience documenting APIs, applications, or technical platforms
Excellent written English and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams
Experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Markdown, Git, or similar)
Nice to Have
Background in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field
Experience with Agile or Scrum environments
Familiarity with UX writing or content design principles
Experience creating diagrams, workflows, or technical visuals
Knowledge of compliance, security, or enterprise systems documentation
