About the Role

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. This role involves developing scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions to support business operations and future growth. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and deploy local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure reliable connectivity and minimal downtime.

  • Manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and other network devices.

  • Implement network security measures, including access controls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing infrastructure.

  • Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and backups.

  • Document configurations, standards, and network diagrams.

  • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering, administration, or related roles.

  • Expertise with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network hardware.

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS).

  • Experience with network monitoring tools (such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).

  • Familiarity with security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).

  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc.) preferred.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.

  • Detail-oriented and proactive in network optimization and problem-solving.
