About the role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to build reliable, scalable software that powers [your product/mission]. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle—from discovery and design to delivery and maintenance—collaborating closely with product, design, and DevOps.

What you’ll do
  • Design, develop, test, and ship high-quality features in [your primary stack: e.g., TypeScript/React, Node.js, Python, Go, Java, PHP/Laravel].

  • Break down complex problems into clear, incremental deliverables with well-defined acceptance criteria.

  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with unit/integration tests.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

  • Own services end-to-end: instrumentation, observability, performance tuning, and incident response.

  • Collaborate with product and design on technical discovery, feasibility, and trade-offs.

  • Work with CI/CD pipelines to ship safely and frequently.

  • Contribute to architecture discussions (APIs, data models, system design).

  • Help mentor teammates and share knowledge through docs, demos, and pairing.

  • Advocate for security, reliability, and accessibility throughout the product.

What we’re looking for (Must-haves)
  • Experience: [2–5 / 5–8] years building production software.

  • Core skills: Proficiency in [your language/framework], REST/GraphQL APIs, relational databases (e.g., Postgres/MySQL), and version control (Git).

  • Quality mindset: Testing (unit/integration), debugging, and performance optimization.

  • Systems thinking: Solid grasp of data modeling, API design, and distributed systems basics.

  • Collaboration: Clear communication, ability to work cross-functionally, and pragmatic problem-solving.

  • Ownership: You take features from idea to production and measure outcomes.

Nice to have
  • Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes).

  • Observability (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana), feature flags, and rollout strategies.

  • Frontend skills (React/Vue) or backend frameworks (Node.js/Express, Django/FastAPI, Spring Boot, Laravel).

  • Event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ), caching (Redis), search (Elasticsearch).

  • Security best practices (OWASP), GDPR/PII handling, and secrets management.

  • Experience with IaC (Terraform), CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), and automated QA.

  • Exposure to fintech/healthtech/e-commerce [adjust domain].

  • You’ve authored or improved key service/runbook documentation.

  • You’ve raised the bar via a refactor, test coverage, or performance win.
